Winnacunnet's Crochetiere claims U14 Futures' Title

This year New Hampshire had five players participate in the National Futures' Tournament, at Spooky Nook. Incoming freshman, Souhegan's Cadence Summers, Windham's Madison O'Hare, and Winnacunnet's Samantha Crochetiere. Windham's Katherine Wimmer & Amy Lanouette also participated but will have wait one more year before they hit high school.

Souhegan's Summers & Windham's O'Hare played together on team Sydney, they had a rough weekend and couldn't walk away with a win and finished the weekend 0-6-0. Their team let up 19 goals and scored 3. they finished 12th for the event.

Windham's Wimmer didn't have the best weekend either; her team went 1-5-0. Her team conceded 17 goals and scored nine times. They finished 10th in the tournament. But a positive note, Wimmer had one of the best individual performances of the weekend, and was selected to the U14 Stars & Stripes Elite Game, with this she could also be invited to the STX Select Tournament later this year.

Windham's Lanouette had a better team performance than her two middle school teammates did. She finished 2-4-0, letting up 15 goals and scoring 13, and taking home a 9th place finish.

Winnacunnet's Crochetiere had by far the best weekend out of her fellow New Hampshire U14s. She finished 4-0-2, her team outscored their opponents 13-7 and walked away with a 1st place finish claiming the U14 National Futures' Championship. To put a cherry on top, just like Wimmer, she was selected to the Stars & Stripes Elite Game, which could lead to an invite to the STX Select Tournament later in the year. So, big congrats to Sam for bringing a title home to New Hampshire, and having one of the best performances at the tournament!
