Defending State Champs Timberlane (D1) and Gilford (D3) are off to great starts, starting 2-0-0. Timberlane has outscored their opponents 11-2, beating Exeter & Londonderry. They host Merrimack on Tuesday, and visit Nashua South on Thursday.

Gilford has outscored their opponents 14-1, out cornered them 21-8, and out shot them 39-3. They play host to Mascoma on Wednesday, and Newfound on Friday, which should be a very competitive game.

Winnacunnet, Portsmouth, and Newfound were the only teams to post two shutouts last week.

Seven teams remain unscored upon. Winnacunnet is the only D1 team.

Gilford's high powered offense leads the state in goals with 14, led by Kellie Ryan.

Londonderry's Riley Walter leads the state in saves with 28.

Timberlane's Sarah Padellaro leads the state in Points (12) and goals (6). Gilford's Kellie Ryan is in second in both categories, with 11 points and 5 goals.

Hopkinton's Chloe Wood & Timberlane's Taryn MacKinnon lead the state in assists with four.

Division 3 Player of the Week

Hayleigh LeTourneau

LeTourneau helped Newfound to a 2-0-0 start, giving them two shutouts in their first week. Her first game was away against Mascoma, which is a bus a ride that nobody wants to take. She played incredible defense against Mascoma always breaking up plays and limiting Mascoma's shots in the circle. Her biggest moment was when the time was ticking down, a ball had gotten by her goalie, and LeTourneau deflected the ball up and over the cage to keep Mascoma off the scoreboard.

Her second game was home against Winnisquam. LeTourneau was able to keep Winnisquam at bay, who has one of the deepest and most talented senior classes this year. She helped lead her team to a 2-0 victory and gave Winnisquam their second loss of the season.

LeTourneau's Newfound takes a long road trip north, on Wednesday, visiting White Mountains. Then LeTourneau will face her toughest test of the season, playing Kellie Ryan's high powered offense, Gilford, on Friday.

Division 2 Player of the Week

Taylor Dudek

The UNH lacrosse commit may be a superstar in her spring sport, but she certainly put her name on the map last week for field hockey.

Dudek opened up the season scoring twice and assisting one, helping Souhegan grab their first win of the season, 7-1, over Hollis-Brookline. However, her biggest goal came in their second game against defending State Champs Windham. The game between the two Division 2 powerhouses went all the way to overtime. With 4:30 left in OT Dudek scored the game winning goal knocking off Windham, and keeping Souhegan undefeated through the first week.

Dudek and Souhegan play two games this week, Milford, on Tuesday, then wrapping up their week on Friday against Goffstown.

Padellaro currently sits at the top of the state with goals scored (6) and points (12).

Padellaro and Timberlane host Merrimack on Tuesday and visit Nashua South Thursday.
