New Hampton came out strong and dominated the first half, holding Proctor to just one shot on goal. Ten minutes into the game, Savannah Norcross found Mckenzie Haberl, to go up 1-0. With just under seven minutes to play in the half, Amelia Monahan would score to take it into halftime, 2-0.
In the second half, Proctor started to make more scoring opportunities, as Kiara Vazquez broke through with 19:02 to go. She took the shot just inside the circle, blasted the ball far post, getting it by New Hampton goalie, Melissa Marcialis, making it 2-1. Proctor did have some more scoring opportunities down the stretch, but couldn't convert on anything. New Hampton also had a couple of one on one breakaways to kill off the game, but Proctor goalie, Rachel Simkevich, made a couple of greats saves to keep Proctor in the game.
As the game went on, in the second half, the game became very physical, especially after Proctor scored their goal, which made for a very entertaining last 15 minutes of the game.
