Day 36 Recap: Gilford caps off their regular season with a win at their Senior Game, over Laconia, 5-0.

Coming off a 1-0 loss to #1 ranked Newfound, Gilford finished off their regular season, and Senior Game, with a 5-0 win over Laconia. Gilford outshot Laconia, 18-1, as Gilford goalie Jenna DeLucca, made one save on the afternoon, and they out-cornered them 16-0.

Sydni Lehr started off the scoring nine minutes into the game, with an assist from Emily O'Connor. Ten minutes later Cloe Boucher would make it two. Then, with under three minutes to play, in the half, Jill Lachapelle found Bri Salanitro, to take it to halftime, 3-0.

90 seconds into the second half Laurel Gingrich connected with Kellie Ryan, to go ahead 4-0. With 16:43 left in the game, Ryan assisted Salanitro, to wrap up the scoring, 5-0. After the goal, most of Gilford's freshmen class was able to get game time, including back up goalie Alexa Smith, who played the frontline for a little bit.

Gilford finished their regular season, 11-2-1, securing the fourth seed and two home games, for the first round and quarterfinals.

Kimball Union can't make the two-hour bus ride worth it, as they fall 2-0.


Varney picks up a goal & an assist, as St. Paul's knocks off Holderness, 4-0.
